Posted: Tuesday, July 24, 2018. 11:03 am CST.

BBN Staff: Former City Councilor, Phillip Willoughby began working with NEMO shortly after his party lost the March Municipal Elections in the old capital.

Willoughby had expressed interest to run for the UDP in the Port Loyola Constituency so, on July 10, 2018, he resigned from his post at NEMO after he was informed that while being employed by Government, legally, he could not get involved in politics.

Willoughby have his 3-month notice, which will take him to October with the convention being scheduled for November 2018.

UDP’s Deputy Party Leader, Patrick Faber is supporting Willoughby’s candidacy.

In November, Willoughby will challenge Attorney General Mike Peyrefitte to become the standard bearer for the UDP in Port Loyola.
