Armed robbery at BWEL in Corozal; Robbers beat security guard

By BBN Staff:   Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred last night at the BWEL Butane Gas Depot in Corozal District.

According to reports, around 7:55, a security guard stationed at BWEL was at the gas depot when 2 men with rags covering their faces entered the office.

One of the culprits had a gun and the other had a knife.

The men proceeded to rob the security guard of $164.00 belonging to BWEL.

 The culprits then hit him to the head with the knife which caused an open wound.

 Police are investigating.
