Elderly couple robbed at gunpoint in home

By BBN Staff: Stann Creek Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred yesterday morning.

According to reports, Santos Francisca Hernandez, 55, and her common-law husband Salvador Nino,58, were at home when around 5:15 am, they saw an intruder inside their house.

The man had a gun and knocked Nino several times in the head with the weapon.

The culprit then took $7,300 in cash and coins.

Police are investigating.
