Belize City man threatened to kill family; Police arrest him as a result

BBN Staff: On Tuesday, July 24, 2018, Eric Gillett of Belize City reported to police that while walking home with his common-law wife, he was shot to the left thigh.
Gillett reveals that he heard the gunshot from a nearby lot and shortly thereafter he realized that he had been shot.
He was admitted into Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) where he was released the day after.
After speaking to Gillett, police were able to detain one male person, however, investigations are ongoing.
