The cases were confirmed this afternoon at the Central Medical Lab in Belize City.
The cases appear to have direct link to Mexico as the infected persons had recently traveled across the border.
Two males tested positive had recently gone to Merida and Yucatan. A pregnant woman who also tested positive resides in Chetumal.
In response to the confirmation, the Ministry of Health has activated its Northern Regional and National Surveillance Teams to start managing these cases and to plan further action.
