Police to charge taxi man for chopping incident in Belize City

By BBN Staff: Belize City police are investigating a chopping incident that occurred on Tuesday afternoon on North Front Street.

According to reports, around 3:30 pm, taxi men, Gerald Lewis and Cecil Buckley got into argument at their taxi stand that is located on North Front Street.

Both men were reportedly arguing over customers when Buckley pulled out a machete and chopped Lewis three times.

Lewis was taken to the KHMH and was then treated and released.

Buckley is expected to be charged today.
