4 armed men rob accountant of over $16,000 in payroll funds

By BBN Staff:  According to reports, yesterday afternoon around 3:20, accountant Jaime Dominguez,35, left his workplace Usher Construction Ltd. en-route to Bella Vista, Belize City to deposit payroll funds at the bank.

However, on his way to the bank, Dominguez picked up his mom, Maria Dominguez,59, at her house and when he attempted to drive off, a gray Ford Explorer overtook him on his left-hand side and cut off his driving lane.

Four men then immediately exited the vehicle with guns and approached them. The armed men then pointed the gun at him and his mother and robbed them of an assortment of personal items including cash, cellular phones, laptop, and documents along with 1 large manila envelope containing  $16,775 belonging to his workplace Usher Construction Ltd.

All items totalled a value of  $19,038.42.

Police are investigating.
