Over 70,000 Belizeans have re-registered

By BBN Staff: Today, the Elections and Boundaries Department issued an update on the national re-registration exercise for the period July 22 to 28, 2018.

Registration Centers continue to be open in all 31 electoral divisions country-wide to facilitate the acceptance of applications for the registration of electors.

During the period, a total of 15, 558 applications were accepted, therefore the total number of applications received as of July 28, is 70,009.

The public is reminded that the opening hours for the registration centers are Monday’s to Friday’s from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday’s from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Scheduled visits to villages continue to be conducted between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Electors are reminded that everyone who registered prior to July 1, 2018 must re-apply to be registered.
