Suspicious cyclist busted with cannabis

By BBN Staff: A man busted with weed in northern Belize has been arrested and charged.

According to police reports, shortly after 8:00 this morning, Corozal police were conducting a mobile patrol on Laguna Road situated between Cristo Rey and Patchakan villages.

That was when they saw a man riding a bicycle.

Upon seeing the officers, he threw away a black plastic bag which was subsequently recovered.

Inside was 1,117 grams of suspected cannabis.

As a result, Bernaldo Cantun, 33, was arrested and charged for drug trafficking.
