By BBN Staff: Tyreke Perez, 19, and Tyreke Swazo, 20, were remanded to the Hattieville prison yesterday.

They were both charged with attempted robbery at CP’s Gas Station which is located at mile 1.5 on the Philip Goldson Highway.

Additionally, Swazo was charged with damages to property.

It is alleged that both men entered the service station at about 8 a.m. and accosted the manager, Nelson Rancharan, 40.

Although one of them was armed, Rancharan put up a fight which resulted in the men fleeing the scene while breaking down the glass door of the establishment.

The incident was caught on surveillance camera allowing authorities to make swift arrests.

Fortunately, nothing was stolen and Rancharan received a minor injury to the head.
