BBN Staff: The National Institute of Culture and History (NICH) today announced that on July 27, 2018, it received a $60,000 donation from the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to assist in programs and National Celebrations.
The Embassy of Taiwan has long been a supporter of the Creative Cultural Development in Belize and their donation will add to the support of this year’s September Celebrations and programs focused on cultural development.
Sapna Budhrani, President of the National Institute of Culture and History and Co-Chair of the National Celebrations Committee received the donation.
Handing over the cheque on behalf of the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) was Second Secretary at the Embassy of Taiwan to Belize, Kelly Y. C. Chang.
