Alleged burglar arrested, police seek accomplice

By BBN Staff:  Police have made a breakthrough in the aggravated burglary of Odette’s home center in Orange Walk town, which occurred on August 2nd.

Police believe that Marvin Mendoza was one of the three assailants.

That is because a search of his home on San Pedro Street in Orange Walk town led to the discovery of two cellular phones and two tablets stolen during the burglary.

Additionally, a search at another residence led to the discovery of two more cell phones and an assortment of electronic items.

As a result Mendoza, was charged with aggravated burglary.

When asked how police were able to make the breakthrough, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Joseph Myvett, did not share any details.

He said: “I will not want to venture into the source of the information.”

With Mendoza detained, police say they have information that may soon lead to the detention of another possible suspect.
