Man chopped in the face, turns the other cheek and forgives attacker

Posted: Monday, August 6, 2018. 4:39 pm CST.

By BBN Staff:  In a surprising twist, a man chopped up out west has forgiven his attacker.

He is Belmopan resident, Gerardo Barrios.

According to Assistant Commissioner of Police, Joseph Myvett, last Thursday night, police visited the Western Regional Hospital where they saw Barrios with chop wounds to the left side of the face and the left hand.

His attacker was detained pending charges but Barrios decided not to pursue the matter and so the accused was released without charges.

Barrios’ injuries have been classified as wounding.
