By BBN Staff: This morning shortly after 10 a.m. Belize City robbers targeted unarmed vendors on Coney Drive.
The robbers visited the stalls and purchased a banana. They returned a second time but the area was too congested.
On their third visit, the assailants pulled out a firearm and demanded cash.
However, they received ‘pocket change’.
But before the men could escape a man at the stall opted to put up a fight with the robbers during which he recovered their gun.
He then fired 6 shots.
When police arrived on the scene they arrested and charged a minor and an 18-year-old teenager.
