Associate of Boots Martinez returns trucks that were stolen from City Hall

Posted: Tuesday, August 7, 2018. 6:36 pm CST.

BBN Staff: Earlier we reported that Port Loyola Area Representative, Anthony “Boots” Martinez, was in hot water following an audit by the Belize City Council.

The audit claimed that Boots had been in possession of three trucks donated by the Government of Belize to the council in 2015.

The report also claimed that for the last three years inquiries were made by the council but the trucks were never recovered.

This afternoon BBN learned that two of the trucks have been recovered.

They are a caterpiller D4C Bulldozer and an 18′ flatbed trailer.

We are told that the items were returned by an associate of the Minister.

BBN understands that the outstanding truck, a Bobcat,  is under repair in Uniteville, Cayo District but will be returned shortly.
