Over 80,000 Belizeas have re-registered

BBN Staff: The Elections and Boundaries Department today issued an update on the ongoing 2018 Re-registration of Electors Exercise.

The update is for the period July 29 to August 4.

Registration Centers remains open in all 31 electoral divisions county-wide to facilitate the acceptance of applications for the registration of electors.

During the period a total of 11, 544 applications have been accepted, therefore the total number of applications received up to August 4, is 81, 553.

Indications are that there are more applications received from the rural communities than the urban areas; a trend similar to the 1997 Re-registration of Electors Exercise.

All qualified persons are encouraged to register today.
