By BBN Staff: International media outlets are reporting that a fire fighter from East Point, Georgia, traveled to Belize to provide hundreds of shoes and clothes for the needy.

That firefighter, we understand, is Belizean national, Krishna Craig, who decided on the humanitarian effort after visiting a garage sale.

Initially he purchased supplies just for relatives and after sharing his idea, one of the vendors at the garage donated the left overs to the initiative.

Also some of his colleagues donated 100 pounds of clothing.

And so, he was able to deliver 869 pounds of items to the country.

Our newsroom was unable to get a comment from Craig as he left the country on Sunday.
