Hit and run victim found dead

BBN Staff:  A man was fatally knocked down out west but his body wasn’t found until this morning.

He has been officially identified as San Ignacio resident, Edelmo Constancia, 65.

According to Assistant Commissioner of Police, Joseph Myvett, just before midnight yesterday a loud bang was heard in the area of Cahal Pech in San Ignacio town.

However, it wasn’t until this morning at around 5:45 a.m. the victim was found lying motionless on the road.

According to Myvett, the body had tire impressions all over it.

Additionally there were skid marks observed in the area.

So far police have not yet made any arrest in this case of hit and run.
