Police searching for man who used fake money at a local bar in Camalote

By BBN Staff: Police are searching for a man who used fake money at a local bar in Camalote Village, Cayo.

According to reports, a cashier at La Posada Bar in the Young Bank area of Camalote Village reported to authorities that yesterday a young man entered the bar and ordered 3 drinks. The man then paid with a $100 Belize bill.

The cashier gave the man $87.25 change and shortly thereafter, he left the bar.

The cashier further stated that she later found out that the $100.00 note was fake.

Police are investigating.
