The attendants told police that two men, one armed with a gun, demanded money from one of them.
Fearing for their lives, they handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and cheques to the robbers.
Police immediately responded to the report and they intercepted a grey Dodge Caliber car at the junction of Lake Independence Boulevard and the George Price Highway.
Inside the vehicle was Ijahman Young, 25, and Ryan Randolph Rhaburn, 21, both of Belize City.
When police searched the vehicle, they found a 9mm pistol, with an extended magazine containing (30) 9mm live rounds of ammunition.
Both men have since been arrested and charged for robbery, keeping a firearm without a gun license, keeping ammunition without a gun license, and keeping prohibited material.
