Hit and run victim dies in Corozal

BBN Staff: Shortly after 9 o’clock last night a man died in an apparent case of hit and run.

He has been identified as Xaibe villager, Virgilio Mena.

Police believe that he was riding his bicycle between miles 74 and 75 of the Philip Goldson Highway when he was knocked down.

He suffered massive head and body injuries that left him dead on the roadside.

Police have not yet made an arrest.
