Man chops his friend to death over an argument in Hope Creek

BBN Staff:  A night socializing with alcohol proved fatal for a man in southern Belize.

He has been identified as Marcus Sanchez, 28, of Hope Creek village.

Police say that on Saturday he and a coworker had a dispute which led to him being chopped multiple times.

When police found him on the roadside outside of Hopkins village he had a large open wound to the head and another to the left side of the neck.

Police have since recovered the weapon believed to have been used to commit the crime.
