Reformed street figure killed in Garden City

By BBN Staff: Reformed street figure, Ronnie Daly, 32, was killed just before 7 o’clock on Saturday night.

According to police, Daly was traveling in a vehicle on Rose Apple Street in Belmopan when a man called out for him.

He exited the vehicle and after a verbal exchange, he was stabbed once in the neck.

He died while receiving medical attention.

Daly is no stranger to authorities.  In 2008 he survived an attempt on his life, limping away with minor gunshot injuries.

Daly grew up on Barrack Road in Belize City which is opposite to the infamous Majestic Alley.

After an internal dispute with his childhood friends, he disassociated himself with the Majestic Alley gang members and strangely found friends in the Taylor’s Alley gang.

However, again he would disassociate himself from them shortly and thereafter left the city.

In Belmopan he found employment, political connection and a new life until his death.
