SMART Health Facility Project – Town Hall Meetings

BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), with sponsorship from the Department of International Development (DFID) of the United Kingdom, are hosting town hall meetings at various locations across the country in order to obtain feedback from the public with regards to the retrofitting of various health facilities.

The places, dates, locations and health facilities are listed as follows:

August 16, 2018	San Ignacio Hospital, San Ignacio Town	San Ignacio Town Hall- Conference Room 9:30 a.m. -11:30 a.m.
August 22, 2018	Matron Roberts Polyclinic, Belize City	Swift Hall – 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
August 23, 2018	Cleopatra White Polyclinic, Belize City	Pallotti Hall – 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
August 28, 2018	Isabel Palma Polyclinic, San Antonio Village, Toledo District	Multi-Purpose Center -9:30 a.m. -11:30 a.m.
August 28, 2018	Independence Polyclinic, Independence Village	The Senter – 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

 

The retrofitting of these facilities is a part of the PAHO/DFID SMART Hospital Project that is presently ongoing in various Caribbean countries and is being implemented independently in various countries in the Latin America and the Caribbean.

The public is invited to attend these sessions, especially those in areas being served by the health facilities listed above.

Healthcare facilities are considered SMART when they combine their structural and operational safety with green interventions.
