Accused Guatemalan murderers may be in Belize

By BBN Staff: Two Guatemalans accused of kidnapping and murdering a taxi operator and a money changer from Melchor on Sunday are believed to have fled their country.

According to reports, the culprits kidnapped taxi operator, Alfredo Vasquez and money changer, Don Noe, in broad daylight and in front of many witnesses. The two men were armed with guns.

Later on Sunday, authorities discovered the burnt bodies of the two men along with the getaway vehicle burnt in Melchor de Mencos, Peten, Guatemala.

It is believed that the dangerous duo fled to Belize after killing the men and burning the vehicles.

Guatemalan authorities are seeking the culprits.
