Over 90,000 Belizeans have re-registered

BBN Staff: Today, the Elections and Boundaries Department issued an update on the ongoing 2018 Re-registration of Electors Exercise.

Registration Centers remain open in all 31 electoral divisions country-wide to facilitate the acceptance of applications for the registration of electors.

During the period August 5- 11, 2018, a total of 9,320 applications have been accepted, therefore the total number of applications received as at August 11, 2018 is 90,873. The figures reflect a decrease in the number of applications received.

The public is hereby reminded that the present Registration centers will be opened up to August 31, 2018.

Commencing Monday, September 3,  2018, applications will only be accepted at the Elections and Boundaries Registration Offices.

The Department encourages all qualified persons to register TODAY and take advantage of the additional centers which are presently opened.
