By BBN Staff: Police have charged a Belizean Coastguard officer of Corozal Town with the crime of theft.
According to reports, the officer in charge of the Corozal Customs Enforcement Unit reported that between July 17 and 30, 2018, six outboard engines were stolen from the Customs House Unit warehouse in Consejo Village, Corozal District.
The engines have a total value of $14,000.
This month, two of the engines were recovered from Daniel Ack, 26, a Coastguard Officer. Ack has since been arrested and charged with the crime of theft.
Police investigating continues.
