National Song Competition to be held tomorrow in Santa Elena Town

By BBN Staff: The National Song Competition 2018 will be held at 8 pm tomorrow in Santa Elena Town, Cayo.

The competition will be held at the Santa Elena Sports Complex and will feature three (3) competing Junior Belize Songs, six (6) Senior Carnival performances, thirteen (13) Belize Song performances and a Junior Carnival exhibition performance.

The singers and their songs can be found at www.mynationalsong.bz where visitors are encouraged to listen to the songs, vote and be included in the decision making of who will be the winner of this year’s “People’s Choice” award.

WINNERS will receive cash prizes as follows:

Senior Division

1st Place – $10,000 and a trophy (inclusive of a music video and an opportunity to represent Belize in the Region)

2nd Place – $3,000 and a trophy

Junior Division

1st Place – $3,500and a trophy (this includes a music video)

2nd Place – $1,000 and a trophy

Artists will also be awarded for:

  • People’s Choice for the most popular song
  • Breakout Artist of the Year

You are encouraged to cast your vote for your favorite song and artist at www.mynationalsong.bz.
