Police investigating shooting at Courtney’s Law Firm

BBN Staff:  Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred yesterday evening in Belize City.

Around 5:50 PM yesterday, police went to Universal Health Care and saw Lascelle  Goldburn  Jeffords,53, a security guard with multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

Police investigations reveal that Jeffords was on duty at Courtney’s Law Firm when two men exited a vehicle and ran towards him.

The men attempted to steal Jeffords firearm.

Jeffords escaped from the men, however, the assailants shot him several times.

Jeffords is listed in a stable condition.

Police investigation continue.
