American woman and Belizean citizen hospitalized following brawl involving tourists

BBN Staff: An American woman and a Belizean man remains hospitalized after they were badly beaten last night.

Belizean national, Amado Watson, 47, and American national, Kathleen Perry, 33, were socializing at an establishment in Caye Caulker sometime around midnight when a fight broke out.

However, that fight continued out on to the street, during which Watson and Perry were both injured.

Watson is listed in a critical condition while Perry remains stable.

Information to BBN is that the fight was between some tourists and some other persons.

However, we are unable to say if the injured persons were simply innocent bystanders or if they had been actively involved in the altercation.
