One man detained for violent attack in Caye Caulker

BBN Staff: Police have detained one man and are seeking another in a violent attack in Caye Caulker.

On Tuesday night American national, Kathleen Perry, and Belizean national, Amado Watson, were socializing at a sportsbar on the island.

However, they got into an argument with another group of people.

While trying to leave the establishment, those persons followed them outside and while on Pasero street, began to attack them with stones and bottles.

Watson was found unconscious by police with a huge cut to his head.

Perry suffered a huge cut below her nose.

Both persons were transported to the Caye Caulker polyclinic and now the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where only Watson remains but in a stable condition.

As we reported, one man has been detained but another man is being sought.
