Chinese businessman shot in Corozal Free Zone

BBN Staff: A shooting in the Corozal Freezone has left one man injured.

He has been identified as Chinese businessman, Jun Xie, 42.

At around midday he was inside his shop, North America Store, when three armed masked entered.

The men demanded cash before opening fire.

Xie was shot in his left foot and taken across the border for medical treatment.

He is listed in a stable condition.
