PUP exits House meeting; refuses to vote on UHS

BBN Staff: Earlier today at a Special sitting of the House of Representatives, Prime Minister Dean Barrow chronicled the Universal Health Services Debt Guarantee in preparation for Parliament’s vote on a motion to take over $95 million to settle the debt.

After several hours of debate, the Opposition, People’s United Party exited the House refusing to vote on the motion.

All United Democratic Party parliaments present at today’s house sitting voted a resounding ‘No’ to the motion.

Firebrand PUP area representative for Cayo South, Julius Espat was notably missing from today’s sitting.
