Police confirm body of missing American woman found

BBN Staff: Police have confirmed that the body of missing American, Sherris Stringham was found last night.

Around 11:28 last night, police went to an area between miles 18 and 19 on the Stann Creek valley road where they saw the partially decomposed body of a clear complexion female lying face up in some bushes under a bridge.

The body was identified as that of Sherris Ann Stringham, 68-year-old, American national.

Stringham had been residing in Hopkins, Stann Creek for just over a year.

Stringham was reported missing on August 25.

On Wednesday, August 29, police found Stringham’s green Nissan X-terra abandoned in Orange Walk.

Police investigations continue.
