Independence villager found tied up naked and dead in Belize City motel

BBN Staff:  An Independence villager, who worked as a security officer at Bella Vista Polyclinic, met his death yesterday in Belize City.

He has been identified as Allin Portillo.

Shortly after midday police visited the Bayview Guesthouse on Baymen Avenue where they found him motionless and naked on the bed.

He was covered with a white sheet.

However, when the sheet was removed it was revealed that his hands were tied with a phone charger cable and his feet were tied with a shoelace.

His body was only found by an employee of the guesthouse when he failed to check out.

The deceased leaves behind no children.
