Man who shot girl in 2016, killed last night!

By BBN Staff: A man is dead after a shooting incident in the old capital last night.

He has been identified as Leroy Lawrence Meighan, 22.

Shortly after 8 p.m., he was walking on Pelican Street when he was ambushed.

A man out of a nearby yard walked out and shot him multiple times to the chest and back.

Police were called out to the scene but the victim had already succumbed to his injuries.

Last year Meighan had been remanded to the Hattieville prison for shooting a 14-year-old girl near North Creek in 2016.
