Over 120,000 Belizeans have re-registered; cut-off date announced

BBN Staff: The Elections and Boundaries Department today issued an update to the public on the ongoing 2018 Re-registration of Electors Exercise.

During the period August 26 to 31, 2018 a total of  11,907 applications were accepted; therefore the total number of applications received as of August 31, is 121,496.

The public is  reminded that all the Registration Centers which were utilized during the period July 2 to August 31, 2018 are now closed.

All applications for re-registration are now being accepted at the Elections and Boundaries Registration Offices countrywide.

The opening hours are Mondays to Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The location of the Registration Offices can be found on the Department’s website at www.elections.gov.bz.

The public is encouraged to ensure their right to vote by applying to be registered.

Remember, even if you voted in the last election and your name is on the voters’ list, you are required to re-register.

The last date to re-register is September 30, 2018.

All qualified persons are encouraged to REGISTER TODAY.
