Cut-off date for re-registration of electors announced

BBN Staff: The Elections and Boundaries Department today informed that the 2018 Re-registration of Electors Exercise will conclude on Sunday, September 30, 2018.

During the month of September, applications will be accepted at the Elections and Boundaries Registration Offices from Mondays to Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Effective October 1, 2018, applications will be accepted at the Registration Offices during normal working hours.

During this period, every applicant seeking registration shall provide proof of date of birth and citizenship upon application as the Department will no longer be mandated to verify such information with the Vital Statistics Unit and/or Immigration Department.

In accordance with Part II of the Representation of the People Registration Rules, names of persons applying for registration during the period  October 1-10 December 2018 will be published on the supplementary list under the continuous registration of electors.

This list will be published on  December 15, 2018, and on the 15th of every month thereafter.

All qualified persons are encouraged to re-register today.
