Ministry of Health raises suicide prevention flag

BBN Staff: World Suicide Prevention Day is celebrated every year on September 10th.

Today the Ministry of Health, Mental Health Unit conducted a small but powerful activity in commemoration of World Suicide Prevention Day in Belize city.

They raised a Suicide Prevention Day flag in Battlefield Park under the theme, “Working together to prevent Suicide.”

The ministry encourages the public to continue the discussion on suicide and getting help not only today but at every opportunity.

Persons seeking assistance are reminded that there is help.
