By BBN Staff: Police are investigating a house fire that occurred yesterday morning in Orange Walk.
Around 2 yesterday morning, police responded to a report of a house fire at No. 29 Liberty Avenue, Orange Walk.
When police arrived, they saw the 2 story concrete home of Christy Tillett,26, a forestry officer engulfed in flames.
The fire was extinguished by Fire Personnel about 2:53 a.m.
Police investigation reveals that about 2:08 a.m., Tillett was awakened by the smell of smoke and upon making checks she saw the blaze on the porch.
No one was injured and the building was not insured.
