Another accused murderer gets bail

BBN Staff: Accused murderer, Edward Barona, 38, is out on bail after four years on remand at the Hattieville Prison.

Yesterday his bail petition was heard before Justice Francis Cumberbatch who offered bail in the sum of $40,000.

Barona was jailed in September 2014 for the January 2013 murder of Byron Estrada.

Estrada was found dead inside a bar in San Pedro Town. He had been stabbed 22 times.

Police believe Barona inflicted those fatal injuries, but he has since maintained his innocence.
