Posted: Sunday, September 16, 2018. 8:42 am CST.

BBN Staff: On Friday, Deputy Prime Minister of Belize, Patrick Faber visited Delille Academy in Dangriga town as part of his countrywide tour.

Students from Youth Rise-sponsored Security Forces Course at the academy displayed their skills for Faber.

The Security Forces Course was introduced as an elective at Delille Academy in October 2017 through the Ministry of Human Development’s Youth RISE Project.

The program is designed to prepare the students for an easier transition into an arm of the national security force (BDF, Police or Coast Guard) and includes field training, maritime training, map reading, navigation, leadership and conflict resolution.

There are currently 26 third form students enrolled in the Security Forces Course.
