By BBN Staff: Authorities in Seine Bight, Stann Creek District are investigating a fire that destroyed a house in that village on Saturday.
According to reports, police responded to the fire on Saturday, September 15th around 7:30 pm and upon arrival, they observed a 20 by 20 wooden structure totally destroyed by fire.
The owner of the house, Ann Flores Castillo 64, a Belizean business-woman of Seine Bight Village reported that she had a male person occupying the house who wasn’t present when the fire started, and there was no source of electrical power affixed to the structure.
The structure was not insured, and the estimated value of damages is approximately $11,000.
Police are investigating.
