PG grocery store robbed at gunpoint last night

BBN Staff: Police in Punta Gorda (PG) are investigating an armed robbery that occurred last night.

According to reports, police visited Rosa’s Store on Periwinklwe Street in the Indian Ville area of Punta Gorda Town, and upon arrival, Miguel Ack, 40, the owner of the establishment reported that around 7:20 p.m., while he was behind the counter, two men entered the store one of whom was armed with a firearm. The men then proceeded to rob him of $400.00 in cash and thereafter fired two shots inside the store.

Police are investigating.
