Re-Registration figures show dismal interest from electorate

By BBN Staff: The Elections and Boundaries Department today issued an update on the ongoing 2018 Re-registration of Electors Exercise.

According to the release, for the period September 9 to 15, 2018, a total of 943 applications were accepted; therefore, the total number of applications received as of September 15, 2018, is 123,390.

The public is reminded that applications for re-registration continue to be accepted at the Elections and Boundaries Registration Offices countrywide.

The opening hours are Mondays to Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Elections and Boundaries Department also says that Belizeans cannot vote in ANY election or referendum if they are not registered.

All qualified persons are encouraged to register.
