Three fishermen arrested for burglarizing home in Belize City

BBN Staff: Yesterday afternoon around 2:35, police arrested three fishermen for burglarizing a home in Belize City.

According to reports, authorities visited Fantaxia Restaurant located at No.6 Queen Charlotte Street, Belize City, and upon arrival Zhong Qiang Zhu, 43, reported that while in his bathroom he heard his mother scream and realized someone unknown was inside the house.

As a result, he alerted police who detained 3 suspects: Trevor Guy, 23-year-old, Belizean Fisherman of a Rivero Street address, Tyron Guy, 24-year-old, Belizean Fisherman of a Queen Charlotte Street address and Leon Westby, 23-year-old, Belizean Fisherman likewise of  Queen Charlotte Street address.

Police found in their possession (1) 9mm pistol, (1).380 special revolver, and a knife.

The three men are detained pending charges for aggravated burglary and possession of unlicensed firearm.
