Ministry of National Security hosting 2nd annual military parade today

BBN Staff: The Minister of National Security, John Saldivar is inviting the public to witness the second annual Military Parade in Belmopan today.

A highlight of Belize’s National September Celebrations, the parade will feature the Belize Defence Force Infantry, Maritime and Air Wings, the Belize Coast Guard, the Belize Police Department, and some elements of our Special Forces.

The parade will be held today at 2:00 p.m and will begin at the Quality Poultry Traffic Circle on the Hummingbird Highway at the entrance of the City of Belmopan.

Parade route:  From Quality Poultry traffic circle, it proceeds east down the Hummingbird Highway, through the George Gabb Running Man Traffic Circle, then south into the Las Flores Community and into Mariposa Avenue, left to Iguana Ave., right to Hummingbird Drive, Mountain View Blvd., Hummingbird Av., left into Libertad Ave., right into the South Ring Road, proceeds in counterclockwise direction to the East Ring Road, North Ring Road and left into Constitution

Eyes Right Salute will be given to Saldivar by each unit when passing the Curl Thompson Building.

The parade will then continue down to the Constitution Drive, and thereafter right into Forest Drive where it will end.
