By BBN Staff: Police have detained a fisherman from Belmopan city for handling stolen goods.
Deborah Morrison, 26, a secretary of Belize city reported to police that between 8:00 a.m. on September 12 and 5:50 p.m. on September 13, her vehicle that was parked on Regent street west was stolen.
Inside the vehicle, Morrison had her purse, passport and assorted jewelry.
The vehicle is valued at $13,000.
The value of all items is $14,545.
Police later recovered the vehicle and detained Sheheem Espat, 24, a fisherman of Las Flores, Belmopan pending charges for ‘handling stolen goods’.
