UDP do not want Mark King in Fort George; King will now file for an injunction

 

“As my attorneys prepare to finalize the injunction on this matter this week, it is no easy task to take my party to court, a party that I have served when called upon beyond the call of duty. This will not be a media show like the Author Saldivar case, whereby, it is not being done to try to achieve power or anything over my party, however, it will set a precedence that the Party’s constitution and my constitutional rights have been breached based on bias, petty and immature reactions from my party,” King said.

 

According to King, his party is mandated to select candidates by way of its constitution, however, with the lining up of its horses for the 2020 race, they have not only been hand picking candidates to stack an early delegates list of support but have also been breaching every inch of the candidates manual and parties constitution.

 

“I have served this country in many capacities, as a city councilor, a minister, a justice of the Peace, and an Officer of the BDF, and most definitely I am not on any suspension or reprimand from my party, and I am not allowed to run. On the other hand candidates with Criminal records, Murder charges, deportees, woman beaters among others are allowed to hold a high position in the party. This in itself creates an ethics committee that is a rubber stamp, or simply a yes sir committee for the party since they are all so afraid to stand up for what is really right. This will not go by easy as I have promised a long drawn out case, which will reveal more content than one can ever imagine, We start with the court, however, this is just the starting point, King further added.

 

King ended his statement by saying that he will see the UDP Party in Court if they do not allow him to contest the convention.

 

In 2015, Mark King last his seat to Cordel Hyde in Lake I and this year he announced that he is interested to contest the Fort George Division for the UDP.
