BBN Staff: Belize City police have today charged Kenrick Longsworth with three counts of aggravated assault.
The charges come after a formal report made by lawmen Glen Caliz, William Marroquin, and Gregorion Choc.
The men, two police officers and a soldier were on duty Saturday morning in Belize City.
That was when they received reports that Longsworth was in possession of a firearm.
However, when they pursued him he allegedly opened fire.
Thereafter he reportedly jumped into the Belize River and escaped.
Yesterday he checked himself into the Raccoon Street police station.
